Rob has worked in the Ottawa real estate market since 1979. He began his career in fee property management, where he was responsible for several high-density properties across the region. In time, he joined an established commercial real estate development company. Later promoted to Director of Properties, Rob was responsible for all aspects of leasing, tenant relations, marketing strategies and land purchases. Through this experience he gained a valuable appreciation for the vendor’s and landlord’s perspectives.

In 1984, Rob joined the largest regional brokerage firm in Ottawa to market office, industrial and retail properties. As the firm grew, specialization became more important and the prime focus became office and industrial sales and leasing.

Since co-founding Metro Suburban Realty Ltd. in 1989, Rob has focused on the sale of owner-occupied and investment properties. Over the years Rob has worked for numerous public, private and non-profit organizations.

For over 100 years, the Freedman family has been part of Ottawa’s commercial real estate industry. Joel is the fourth generation in his family to work in the business. He has been involved in commercial real estate brokerage and development since 1978. Until 1984, Joel worked in industrial and office sales and leasing, and also marketed space for Ottawa’s single most active developer.

In 1984 Joel joined a large brokerage firm to market a wide variety of office and industrial properties.  He continued serving clients in the commercial field of office and industrial space.

Since co-founding Metro Suburban Realty Ltd. in 1989, Joel has continued to serve the Ottawa and Eastern Ontario client base. Joel is the only member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) in Eastern Ontario. John has been active in commercial real estate since 1976. He began his career in the office leasing market in downtown Toronto and moved to Ottawa in 1989. John had a key management position in Toronto with a major financial institution with a portfolio in excess of 1,000,000 square feet, as well as operating directly within the brokerage community for many years. His activities during those years included leasing, property management, leasehold construction and negotiating lease documents.

John's expertise in Ottawa has expanded to include office and industrial sales and leasing, as well as negotiating design-build transactions.

A long-time resident of Ottawa, Derek began his career with a local real estate firm in 1984. Prior to joining Metro Suburban Realty he worked in a sales position with a national real estate firm, held the position of broker/manager of a midsize brokerage office and, for a number of years, worked as an independent real estate broker.

Derek's area of concentration remains the sale and leasing of industrial buildings, land and industrial investment properties throughout Ottawa and Eastern Ontario.

Paul joined Metro Suburban Realty Ltd. with over 20 years of solid business experience. He was born and raised in Montreal and has been living in Ottawa since 1984.
